The stunning Point POFD50516EBN side by side combines a refrigerator and a freezer into one practical appliance. It has a spacious refrigerator with French doors as well as a freezer in two large pull-out compartments below the refrigerator space. The freezer also has an ice dispenser that is easy to detach and fill with water. Recessed handles keep the appliance’s outer surfaces as sleek as possible while the LED lighting provides good visibility inside the appliance. The side by side’s total capacity of 516 liters offers plenty of storage space for all your groceries.

Display and controls on the door exterior

Monitoring the refrigerator and freezer temperatures can be conveniently done from the exterior of the side by side’s refrigerator door. This is thanks to the display placed on the door. Touch controls for adjusting the temperatures and choosing functions can also be found connected to the display. This way you won’t have to unnecessarily open the doors and let the cold escape. The control panel also has a convenient lock function with which you can lock the controls. This way settings can’t be changed accidentally.

Efficient airflow and automatic defrosting

The four-star freezer has a Total No Frost system which prevents ice and frost from forming. When ice doesn’t accumulate on the freezer walls, the interior stays nice and clean. This way you also don’t have to manually defrost the freezer which saves both time and effort. The refrigerator’s air circulation system in turn prevents bad odors from forming and keeps the air inside the appliance fresh.

Storage drawer that adapts to different needs

The side by side’s refrigerator has an LED light in the interior ceiling, three shelves, and a large vegetable drawer where you can comfortably store fruits and vegetables separate from other food items. Underneath the large vegetable drawer there are still two smaller drawers. The other is a regular vegetable drawer whereas the other’s temperature can be altered with the VARIO TEMP touch button found below the door display. There are three settings to choose from for, for example, fruits and vegetables or drinks.

Storage space for tall packages and bottles too

Sometimes you may need slightly more shelf room for exceptionally tall packages. That is why the heights of the refrigerator’s shelves can be adjusted which makes it easier to adapt the spaces between them to meet your needs. You can also store tall bottles or why not jars on the refrigerator’s door shelves. Both refrigerator doors have three shelves, the lowest of which is suitable for bottles. The door shelves can also be moved which enables not only adjusting the distances between the shelves, but also easy cleaning of the shelves.

Functions for quickly cooling and freezing food

The side by side’s functions include fast cooling as well as fast freezing that enables fast freezing of large quantities of food. This way the food's nutritional value doesn’t suffer. The functions lower the refrigerator and freezer temperatures to their lowest settings. If the functions aren’t deactivated manually, the refrigerator and freezer will automatically return to their previously set temperatures. The time for the refrigerator is about six hours and for the freezer it is in turn about 32 hours.
