Sitting outside relaxing on the balcony or terrace is a lovely feeling. We all want more of those days, don’t we? With our Nordic climate however, it often gets too cold. That is, unless you have an outdoor patio heater. Such a heater can extend the outdoor season and make chilly summer nights nice and comfortable. Point offers a great variety of patio heaters with different benefits. We also have accessories to protect your heater, making sure you will enjoy it for a long time.
Even if summer has already passed, you can still enjoy the lovely heat – even on your own terrace or balcony. Point patio heaters will keep your terrace or patio warm even in cold weather, and you can enjoy your one extra room well into the fall. By using a patio heater all year round, those cool evenings no longer feel too cold. The heater can also be installed in a greenhouse to ensure the well-being of your plants.
Heaters for spaces of all sizes
Choosing the right heater should start with considering the size of the heater you need for your patio. A small lamp might be enough for a small balcony, particularly if you have some sort of a shield, but for a larger terrace, we recommend one or more of our larger heaters. We have lamp heaters, wall-mounted heaters, and standing heaters, and choosing the right one depends on the space you have. The wall-mounted heater saves space, and the standing heater is easy to move, while the hanging patio heater is suitable especially on the ceiling of small terraces and balconies.
From our selection you will find both affordable and more expensive models, as well as models with higher and lower efficiency. The efficiency as well as the radiation efficiency should be checked when choosing a patio heater, as a heater of about 1000 watts is enough for even a smaller balcony, while a heater of 2000 watts is enough to heat up to 10 square meters.
And where does it fit?
Once you are sure of the size of the space and have selected the heater you want, next consider where you plan to place the heater. To get the most out of your device, point the device in the direction you spend the most time on the terrace, such as a dining or sofa group. In some of our models you can even adjust the heating angle to your liking! Also, make sure that there is a wall plug near the heater and that the outlet fuse is large enough. Lastly, consider the IP rating of the appliance: if the heater might be in direct contact with rain, the protection rating must be sufficient.
A few more tips
Small things are often the most important. Our patio heaters have a different number of temperature settings, so it is worth considering whether you want a model where the temperature can be controlled or if one simple setting is enough. Some heaters have a timer feature, so you do not accidentally forget to turn off the unit at the end of the evening. There are also handy remote controls that allow you to turn on the heater and change settings even further away from the unit. Now all that is left is to choose the appliance you want!
